Does anyone know if this is legit? has this been properly tested? can it hold up against the very rigorous research standards of hard science? i mean, just because mayan shamans say so? just because the i ching says so? because some lama says so?
i mean come on...
whats the deal....
did he consume a large amount of mushrooms that told him that dec 2012 is "the end" ?
i know the story about his escapades in the rain forest, and timewave zero.
those pesky mushroom entities can be enormous liars, you know...
i mean, who knows they have the consumer's best interest in mind? they're spirits after all.

Man this year has really sucked grandma's old nasty cunt for me. Strange because the resurgence into retrograde is so minor compared the previous descent which didn't feel that dramatic by my standards...

i don't think novelty returns until sometime 2012... It's bone dry and frozen nitrogen...

Descending Novelty Coming Soon

This is some interesting info on possesing spirits from a High Level Buddha Master, it delves into the dangers of these entities that entice one with abilities and powers:

Spirit Possession

A lot of us in the cultivation world might have heard of stories about animals, like maybe foxes, weasels, ghosts, or snakes, taking possession of human bodies. And what are these things all about? Some people say that practicing qigong develops supernatural abilities, but the truth is, it’s not that it develops supernatural abilities—those "supernatural abilities" are just a person’s innate abilities. It’s just that as society moves forward, people pay more and more attention to the visible things in this material dimension of ours, and they come to rely more and more on our sophisticated tools. So our human innate abilities have steadily atrophied, and now it’s come to the point where they’ve totally vanished.

If someone wants to have abilities, he has to go through cultivation, return to his original, true self, and bring them out through cultivation. But animals, on the other hand, they don’t have complicated thoughts like people do, and so they’re connected to the nature of the universe and do have their inborn, innate abilities. Some people say that animals know how to cultivate, that foxes know how to make elixir, that snakes and such-and-such animals know how to cultivate, and so on. It’s not that they know how to cultivate. At the start they didn’t know a thing about cultivating—it’s only that they had those innate abilities. So under certain conditions, in certain environments, and after a long time their innate abilities might take effect, and they’ll be able to get gong, and have abilities come out.

Now that things have gone this way, that animal gets some special abilities. At one time we would have said they’d "acquired subtle powers" or "gained special abilities." A lot of people seem to think animals are just incredibly fierce and that they can control people easily. Actually, I’d say they aren’t fierce—they’re nothing before a true cultivator. Big deal if they’ve cultivated almost 1,000 years, a pinky is more than enough to crush them. So now that we know animals have innate abilities and can have some special abilities, there’s another law in this universe of ours: animals aren’t allowed to succeed in cultivation. That’s why you’ve read in ancient books that they’re killed once every several hundred years in large catastrophes or small calamities. When an animal’s gong grows to a certain level after some time, it’ll be destroyed, struck by a thunderbolt, or something else will happen to stop it from cultivating. That’s because they don’t have the essential nature that humans have, and they aren’t able to cultivate like humans do. It’s guaranteed they’d be demons if they succeeded in cultivation since they don’t have human traits. So they aren’t allowed to succeed in cultivation, and that’s why they’re slain by Heaven. They too know that. But like I said, the world is sliding downhill bigtime, and there’s no evil some people won’t do. When it’s hit this point, isn’t the world in danger?

"When something reaches the extreme it reverses"! We’ve discovered that every time the world was destroyed in the different cycles of prehistoric ages, it was always when the human race’s morals were terribly degenerate. Right now the dimension where we human beings exist and a lot of other dimensions are in great danger. And the same goes for other dimensions at this level. The beings there, too, want to leave as quickly as possible, they want to climb up to higher levels. They think that by going up to higher levels they can escape. But that’s easier said than done, isn’t it? If you want to cultivate you have to have a human body, and that’s one reason we’re seeing qigong practitioners get possessed.

Maybe some of you are thinking, "How come all those Great Enlightened Beings and all those powerful masters aren’t doing anything about it?" In our universe there’s another law: if it’s about something you’re seeking or just want, nobody can stop you. Here we’re teaching you to take the right path, and along with that, we’re teaching you the Law inside and out and encouraging you to have your own understanding of it, but it’s still up to you whether you decide to learn it. "The master leads you through the door, but cultivation is up to you." Nobody’s going to push you to cultivate. It’s up to you whether you cultivate. Or to put it another way, when you choose your own path, when you decide what you want, or when you’re trying to get something—nobody will stop you. They can only try to kindly persuade you.

You see some people doing qigong exercises there, but it’s actually the possessing spirit that gets it all. How did they attract possessing spirits? Just consider all the people around the country who practice qigong, do you know how many of them have possessing spirits on their backs? If I told you, a lot of people wouldn’t dare to do qigong. The number is scary! So what would bring something like that about? Those things are really wrecking the ordinary world. So how did something so serious come about? It’s people’s own doing. Because mankind is going bad, demons are everywhere. The worst is those fake qigong masters, they all have possessing spirits on their bodies, and when they pass on their practices they’re transmitting that stuff. Never in history were animals allowed to get on human bodies, and if they did they’d be killed—whoever saw it wouldn’t stand for it. But would you believe, in today’s world some people pray to them, they want them, and they make offerings to them. Some people won’t be too happy to hear this—"But that isn’t what I asked for!" You didn’t ask for it, but you asked for abilities, and would the Enlightened Beings of a true cultivation give them to you? Asking for those kinds of things is an attachment that ordinary people have, and that kind of desire has to go. Then who do you think would give them to you? Only demons and different kinds of animals that are in other dimensions. Isn’t what you did just like asking them for those things? So they came right over.

How many people are there who have proper thoughts when they do qigong exercises? When a person practices qigong he has to take virtue seriously, do good things for others, and be kind—he should discipline himself this way in every action and in every circumstance. Take all the people doing qigong exercises in the parks and all the ones doing them at home, and how many do you have thinking that way? To be honest, when some people are doing their qigong, who knows what they’re doing, they’ll be exercising away, swinging their bodies all around, and at the same time going off about things—"Ugh! That daughter-in-law of mine has no respect for me," "My mother-in-law is such a wretch!" Some people even go on and on, from talking about things at their company right on to headline news—there’s nothing they don’t babble about, and the things they don’t agree with will blow their fuse. Tell me, is that doing cultivation exercises? And then there are people doing a standing exercise right there, getting so tired their legs shake, but his mind isn’t at rest, "Things are so expensive these days. Prices have gone up, and my company can’t make the payroll. Why can’t my practice bring out some abilities? If I got some abilities I’d be a qigong master, and I’d get rich—I could make money by giving people treatments." Once he sees that other people’s abilities have come out he gets even more agitated. He gets obsessed with getting abilities, with getting the Third Eye, and with getting healing skills. Now think about it, isn’t that about as far as you can get from the nature of our universe, to be True, Good, and Endure?! He’s simply turning his back on it. To put it a little more seriously, he’s practicing in an evil way! But he isn’t aware of it. The more he thinks like that, the worse the thoughts are that his mind emits. That kind of person doesn’t have a handle on it, he doesn’t know he should take virtue seriously, and he thinks that by doing those movements he can get gong, and that he can get whatever he wants by seeking after it—he thinks that’s how it is.

A person attracts bad things precisely because his thoughts aren’t proper. Then the animal sees it, "This guy wants to get rich off qigong, and that guy wants to get famous and get abilities. Boy, his body is pretty good and what he has is pretty good. But his mind is really bad—he’s after abilities! Maybe he has a master, but even if he does, I’m not afraid." It knows that the master of a true cultivation will see him seeking abilities like that, and the harder he seeks after them the less likely the master will give him them, since that’s exactly an attachment he should get rid of. The more he thinks that way, the less the chance he’ll be given any abilities, so basically the more oblivious he is to how it works, the more he wants them and the worse his thoughts get. Finally that master gives a deep sigh when he sees that this guy is finished, and he won’t have anything more to do with him. Some people don’t have masters, and maybe somebody who happens to pass by will look after them for a while, since there are so many Enlightened Beings in different dimensions. An Enlightened Being might take a look at him, watch him and follow him for a day, and leave him after he sees that he’s not good. The next day another one comes by, takes a look at him, finds out he’s no good, and off he goes.

The animal knows that whatever kind of master he has, be it a regular one or a passing-by one, his master won’t give him what he’s seeking. Animals can’t see the dimensions where Great Enlightened Beings are, so they aren’t afraid, and they’ve taken advantage of a loophole: our universe has a law, that when somebody wants to seek something, or wants something, normally he shouldn’t be stopped. It takes advantage of that loophole—"He wants them, then I’ll give him them. It’s not wrong for me to help him, right?" So it gives them to him. At first the animal doesn’t dare get on his body, so it starts by giving him a little gong as a test-run. The person keeps seeking it, and one day he really gets it, and he can even heal people. The animal sees that it’s worked pretty well, and it’s just like playing a prelude before the show really starts. "He wants them, so I’ll get right on his body. And once I’m there I can give him more, I’ll pour it on!" "You want the Third Eye, right? This time I’ll give you it all." So it gets right on him.

While he’s having that thought about wanting it, right there doing that, his Third Eye pops open, he’s able to send out gong, and he’s even got a few little abilities. He’s beside himself with joy, and he thinks that he’s sought and sought these things and finally got them, and he thinks they came from his practice. But actually, his practice didn’t bring him anything. He thinks that he can see through a human body and see where the problems are in someone’s body. In reality, though, his Third Eye isn’t open one bit—it’s that the animal is controlling his brain. That animal sees things with its eyes and then reflects what it sees into his brain, and he thinks his Third Eye is open. "Want to send out gong? Go for it." When he holds out his hands to send out gong, the animal’s little paws extend out from behind his body. When he sends out gong, the forked tongue from the little snake’s head comes out to lick the sick or swollen area. There are a lot of things like this. Those spirits that possess these people come only because they asked for them.

So he seeks after them, he dreams about getting rich, and about getting famous. "Okay then!"—he gets abilities, he can heal people, and he can see with his Third Eye. That makes him happy. The animal takes a look, "You want to get rich, don’t you? Okay, I’ll make you get rich." It’s way too easy to control an ordinary person’s head. The animal can control a lot of people and make them come to him for treatments, and they’ll come in droves. Oh my goodness!—while he sees patients right here, it’s stirring up reporters over there to promote him in newspapers. It manipulates ordinary people to do these things. When someone who comes for a treatment doesn’t pay him enough, he won’t let them off the hook, and he’ll make you have a headache. What it comes down to is that you just have to give him a lot of money. The guy pulls in both fame and wealth—he’s made a bundle, he’s become well-known, and now he’s a qigong master. People like him usually don’t care about character and they’ll dare to say anything, "I’m second to none but Heaven." They go as far as saying they’re the reincarnations of well-known deities, like the Queen Mother or Jade Emperor, and they even go as far as saying they’re Buddhas. They haven’t really gone through character cultivation, so they seek abilities when they do their exercises and end up getting possessed by animals.

Maybe some of you are thinking, "What’s wrong with that? It’s okay as long as I can make money, or get rich, and I can get famous." That’s what a lot of people are thinking. But I’ll tell you, that animal isn’t doing it without a purpose, it turns out, and it doesn’t give you something for nothing. There’s a law in this universe: no loss, no gain. What does the animal get? I talked about this earlier, didn’t I? It’s trying to get that bit of essence in your body to cultivate into a human form, so it just gathers the essence from the human body. But there’s only this one share of essence in a human body, and if somebody wants to cultivate, he only has this one share. And if you let the animal take it from you, you can forget about cultivating—how would you cultivate then? You’ll have lost everything, and you won’t be able to cultivate at all. Maybe some people will say, "I don’t want to cultivate. I just want to get rich. All’s well as long as I have money. I couldn’t care less!" Look, I’ll tell you: you want to get rich, but after I explain how it really works, then you’ll change your mind. So what happens? If it leaves your body not too late your limbs will feel like lead, and you’ll be like that for good, because it drained you of too much of your essence. But if it leaves your body late, you will become a vegetable and lie in bed for the rest of your life hanging on by a thread. Even if you had money, would you be able to spend it? Even if you had fame, would you be able to enjoy it? Wouldn’t it be horrible?

These things have become really serious and they’re common among people who practice qigong these days. The animal doesn’t just possess the body, it also kills the person’s master soul, and it burrows into the person’s Niwan Palace and squats there. The person looks like a human being, but he’s not. You even see things like that nowadays. Mankind’s morals have changed, so when some people do bad things, and you tell them they’re doing bad things, they just don’t believe you. They think that making money, wanting money, and getting rich are their birthright, and that these are the right thing to do. So they harm other people, they hurt others, and they’ll stop at nothing to make money—they’ll do anything! The animal won’t gain if it doesn’t lose. Would it give you something for nothing? It wants to get the things that are in your body. Of course, we’d say that people invite all those troubles just because that idea they have isn’t right, and their thoughts aren’t proper.

Let’s see what our Falun Dafa has to say about this. When you cultivate in our discipline, as long as you can always keep up your character, "one good can overcome a hundred evils"—you won’t run into any trouble. On the other hand, if you can’t keep up your character well, if you seek after all sorts of things, you’re sure to invite trouble. Some people just can’t let go of the things they used to practice. We all know that you have to commit to one discipline when you do qigong—in true cultivation you just have to. Some qigong masters have written books, but so what. You know what, their books are such a mess they’re like those things they practice—snakes, foxes, and weasels, they’re all in there. When you read those books that stuff will jump out from the words. I have to tell you, those fake qigong masters outnumber true qigong masters by a lot, and you can’t tell who’s who. So you have to know what you’re doing. It’s not like I won’t settle for anything but your cultivating in my Falun Dafa. Actually, you can cultivate in the discipline of your choice. But there’s an ancient saying, "No true teachings for thousands of years, better than wild heresy for one day." So you really have to know what you’re doing, and really cultivate a true teaching. Don’t mix anything into your cultivation—don’t even add thoughts. Some people’s Law Wheels have gotten all out of shape. Why is that? They get defensive, "But I didn’t practice that other qigong." But whenever they do the exercises, their thoughts just keep pumping in the things they practiced before—wouldn’t that add it in? That’s all I want to say about spirit possession.

Cosmic Language

What is "cosmic language"? It’s about a person suddenly being able to speak gibberish, like mumbo jumbo, and even he doesn’t know what he’s saying. People with telepathic abilities can get the general idea, but they can’t make out the specifics of what he’s talking about. And some people can speak a few languages. What’s more, some of them think they’re just incredible and think they’re really talented and have an ability. Let’s be clear, that’s not an ability, and it’s not a cultivator’s talent, and it doesn’t stand for your level, either. So what’s it about? It’s actually that your mind is being controlled by a foreign spirit. But for some reason you think it’s pretty good, you like having it, and you’re happy to have it. And the happier you are, the tighter its grip on you. If you think of yourself as a true cultivator, how could you just let it control you? And its level is really low. So a true cultivator shouldn’t invite this kind of trouble.

Human beings are the most precious, and they’re the wisest of all creatures. How could you be controlled by those things? You don’t even want your body anymore—how sad! Some of those things latch onto the body, and some don’t latch onto the body but they still manipulate you and control you, even though they’re at a little distance. When you want to speak it, they’re all too glad to do that, so you’ll go and spew mumbo jumbo. And it can be passed on—another person comes along and wants to learn it, he gets up his nerve and opens his mouth, and he starts spewing it, too. Those things actually come in nests, and when you want to speak it one of them will pounce right on your body and help you speak it.

So how’s that allowed to happen? Again, like I said, it wants to raise its level, but there’s no hardship over there so it can’t cultivate or improve itself. So they came up with an idea—to help people do good things for others. But they don’t know how. Yet they do know that the energy they send out can have the effect of slowing people’s sicknesses down a little and relieving the pain sick people have at the time, but it can’t cure the ailment. That’s how it is, and they know that using a person’s mouth to send it out can have that effect. Some people call it Heaven’s language, and then there are people who call it Buddha’s language. That’s blaspheming Buddhas! That’s just reckless!

You know, Buddhas don’t speak frivolously. If they went and said something in our dimension, they could cause earthquakes in the human world—it’d be terrible! Just think about that thundering sound. Some people have said, "I saw with my Third Eye that he talked to me." He didn’t talk to you. And the same goes for those people who saw my Law Bodies. They didn’t talk to you. The thought that he sends out is in stereo sound, so when you hear it, it sounds like he’s talking. Usually he can speak in his dimension, but once it’s transmitted over here you can’t hear what he says clearly. That’s because the concepts of space-time are different in the two dimensions, in our dimension, a small block of time is about two hours nowadays, but in that large dimension, our small block of time is equal to a year in their time. Our time is slower than theirs, it turns out.

There’s an old saying, "Only one day in the heavens, but a thousand years on Earth." That refers to the unitary paradises where there’s no concept of space and no concept of time, or to be more specific, the worlds where Great Enlightened Beings stay, like the Western Paradise, the Emerald World, the Falun World, the Lotus World, and so on—it’s those places. But the time in those large dimensions is faster, contrary to what you’d expect. If you’re able to receive and hear their talking (some people’s Celestial Ears are open, and when those Ears are open they can hear them talking) you can’t hear them that clearly. Everything you hear sounds the same, like birds chirping, or like a turntable playing at a fast speed—it’s all garbled. Of course, some people can hear music and they can hear people talking. But they have to have an ability that serves as a vehicle to eliminate the time difference before the sound is transmitted to your ears, and only then can you hear it clearly. That’s how it works. Some people call that stuff Buddha’s language, but nothing could be further from it.

When two Enlightened Beings meet they know all that there is to know with just a smile. That’s because it’s silent, mental telepathy, and what’s received has stereo sound. When they smile at each other they’ve already exchanged their ideas. They don’t just use that one form, sometimes they use another method. You know, in Tantrism Tibetan lamas take doing hand signs seriously. But if you ask a lama what hand signs are, he’ll tell you that it’s "meta-yoga." And what exactly is that? They don’t know themselves. It’s actually a language of Great Enlightened Beings. When there are a lot of people, they make those large hand signs, which are incredibly beautiful, and they make all kinds of large hand signs. And when there’s a small audience they use the small hand signs, and they’re beautiful, too, they use small hand signs in all kinds of poses, and they’re really involved and rich since they’re a language. These all used to be Heaven’s secrets, and now we’ve unveiled them all. What they use in Tibet are only a few movements that are just for doing their practice. They’ve catalogued them and made them into a system. Those are only a one-dimensional language for their practice, and they just have that handful of practice forms. Real hand signs are a lot more complex.

Pivotal Descent into Novelty Soon

According to my Timewave Zero a very pivotal descent into novelty is about to occur next month.
The 9th of July 2010 Novelty descends from a mean that we've been holding at for about a year and a half.
This descent will mark a deeper level of novelty than ever before on the timewave.

It drops into novelty until about the end of January.
And actually comes very close to hitting zero or infinity (the same level at the end of the timewave cycle)

It's a pretty straight drop.

The asteroid exploded in Earth's atmosphere near the city of Bone in South Sulawesi on October 8, 2009. Eight days before the explosion, also in Indonesia, a magnitude 7.6 earthquake left 1,100 people dead in Sumatra. This quake, like the 2004 and 2005 Indonesian earthquakes, occurred on Sumatra's West Coast. It occurred on the anniversary of seismologist Charles Richter's death. Richter, while at the California Institute of Technology, created the widely used Richter scale for earthquake measurement. The day before the earthquake, on September 29, 2009, the most powerful earthquake that year caused a tsunami which killed 200 people in the Samoa Islands. The longest total solar eclipse of this century had taken place two months earlier on the anniversary of Giuseppe Piazzi's death. There won't be a longer total solar eclipse until 2132, says NASA. Giuseppe Piazzi, of course, discovered Ceres, the first dwarf planet discovered, and his death came 18 days after the deaths of U.S. presidents John Adams and Thomas Jefferson in 1826.

Six weeks after the lunar occultation of Ceres, the total solar eclipse of 2010 occurred on July 11, 2010. Exactly nineteen years before the total eclipse, another very long total solar eclipse happened. The totality of the July 11, 1991 solar eclipse lasted nearly seven minutes; we won't see a longer eclipse in the next hundred years. The last longer eclipse, I introduced earlier -- the 1973 total eclipse on the anniversary of the Siberian asteroid detonation.

July 11th, the date of the 1991 and 2010 total solar eclipses, is U.S. President John Quincy Adams's and Venetia Burney's birthday. In 1930, Venetia Burney recommended the name for Pluto, the dwarf planet newly discovered by Clyde Tombaugh. President Adams, son of the aforementioned U.S. President John Adams, was like his father born in Massachusetts, the state whose coast is the embodiment of the human face. The elder Adams died, of course, on America's birthday, July 4th, the day President Thomas Jefferson died, and Giuseppe Piazzi died 18 days later. Piazzi and Clyde Tombaugh, along with Michael Brown, discovered the five known dwarf planets in our Solar System.

In our last three years, we have raised investment in the traditional manner through angel investors. I am continuing an on-going dialogue with the Facebook community on the Evolver Social Movement page, and on Reality Sandwich under my article on the movement.

Evolver Atlanta started as a personal vision, a burning desire within myself to "find the others" and effect positive change in the world. As a contributing editor at Reality Sandwich, I'd been intimately involved with building this global tribe of evolutionaries since the magazine's inception almost three years ago. While watching the RS community grow has been an immensely inspirational experience, the mediated universe of blog posts and online debates wasn’t enough to get me through my days. I needed to find my people, here, where I live. With a couple of like-minded friends and local RS cohorts, I put together a few consciousness-raising events around town. Little did we know, the model we were setting would soon be followed by some 40 cities around the world.

As a coordinator for one of the first Evolver Regionals, it's been incredible to see the network spread so wide and touch so many lives and communities. There's something remarkable happening here -- a global movement is springing up in our own backyards. My own life has been completely transformed in the year and a half since Evolver Atlanta began. And over time, the purpose of our work has become clear. We’ve met all of these collectives of inspired and tireless people, from bicycle co-ops and yoga studios to organic farms and off-the-grid homesteads. Though their interests are diverse, these groups all share a guiding vision of empowering local communities and co-creating a more beautiful world. Through the Evolver Social Movement, we are linking up these transformative tribes, to recognize our common dreams and make them a reality. I'm endlessly grateful to be a part of it all.

For several years, I have found unique contributions on Reality Sandwich, and felt a kinship with others drawn to that site. It was refreshing to know that a growing number of souls also included a helping of open-mindedness, visionary creativity, and unbranded hope in their daily diet of media. When I learned that the creators of that site were launching a new project, Evolver, to ignite the organization of local communities to gather and share, I knew I would play a part. Philadelphia did not yet have a Evolver Spore, as these gatherings are known, and I offered to host it myself. Each month, we have forged connection with local authors, reporters, activists, therapists, artists, event planners, and organizers. Collaborative relationships continue to evolve at a fearsome pace between each Spore. In a few short months, seeds planted in the Spore have grown into film screenings, an epic rave, a healing circle, employment opportunities, a women’s new moon circle, and more. And we are just getting started. From our first gathering last July, I have been astounded again and again by the openness, creativity, gifts and vision that participants bring to the table. After each Spore, I leave as a more hopeful person, knowing that communities in cities around the globe are having similar conversations.

I’ve learned a lot through starting this spore. I’ve met some amazing people through Evolver, including my fiancé, who I now live with and we are having a child together. Evolver has been a catalyst for a lot of really positive amazing change in my life. The spore in Sacramento has mostly been an uphill battle, but also amazing. You see there really isn’t any kind of transformational culture in Sacramento. So where as the spore in most cities has been bringing like minded groups and people from the alternative culture together, in Sacramento it has been starting an alternative culture. It’s tough to start from scratch, but I’m learning it can be done. For those of you that have wanted to start a spore in your town, or city, but fear that you wouldn’t get the support there, don’t worry, it will come if you put your heart into it. You might not have an alternative culture in your town, but that’s even more of a reason to start a spore. This information we are spreading needs to be heard everywhere, especially in the places that are less exposed to it. So while it’s been an uphill battle starting a community from scratch in Sacramento, it’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.

In Los Angeles I personally had been asking the city for community. I found it in the painted rocks of Utah where Evolver LA emerged, and with time I went from the lone warrior wolf, to the community adventuring crow integrating all spheres of context in our monthly Spores. Together here we’ve began, again, pioneering these budding desert landscapes with transformational direct action. Fostering a loving connection to a spider-webbed community of artists, activists, new rock star scientists, urban witches and techno shamans, the cross-pollinating culture jamming new gods and old goddesses as well as those ordinary Jane’s and Dicks who give a hoot about people and the process of growth. The Evolver Social Movement (E+sm) isn’t about the people in the community alone, it is it’s own evolving entity, with it’s own nascent desires and self-organizing agenda, seeking to find and express its own purpose in the world. The Evolver Social Movement shows us that an abstract understanding of the paradigm shift isn’t enough. We have to actively participate and put our resources where our blogs are and step up to the proverbial plate. I am fortunate I’ve found a way to allocate my personal and spiritual capital with something I value. Good looking out Evolver. It’s your move.

Legalize Hemp and Cannabis in California

Hi Family,

Right now there are two competing signature drives to put Cannabis legalization initiatives on the ballot in California in

November 2010.

One is found at www.taxcannabis2010.org

The other is found at www.CaliforniaCannabisInitiative.org

Please look carefully at the text of both laws (the text of each is finalized) and make up your own mind which one you support.

I am supporting www.CaliforniaCannabisInitiative.org because our law will protect Cannabis users from discrimination in

healthcare, employment, and housing. It is a full legalization measure for industrial hemp and recreational cannabis which will restore full human rights to Hemp farmers and Cannabis users all across California. Of course supplying Cannabis to children will remain illegal just as it is today. Driving vehicles under the influence will remain illegal just as it is today. Cannabis users will still be fired from their jobs if they show up to work impaired.

There are two parts to our plan. The first part is to publicly post and personally distribute our "Freedom Lover's Call to Arms" in order to recruit volunteers. This document is available here-

The second part of our plan is to ask everyone who volunteers to make a pledge for how many signatures they can collect in

the next 30 days or so. 15-30 signatures is a good number. If enough volunteers show this level of commitment we can succeed. You can probably get that number from your family members, friends, co-workers, and neighbors without having to solicit in public too much. This is an "out of the closet" movement. We will have to proudly advocate human rights for responsible, honest, hard-working Cannabis smokers in order to convince legitimate people to support us. I can supply stickers equivalent to each persons pledge number. These stickers can be used to generate interest and be given to voters who sign the petition. Here is the sticker design-

We have 145 days in order to get the number of signatures that we need. Our petition is hot off the press on 9/11 and we

have started collecting the first signatures yesterday 9/12.

We are polling 56% public support for Cannabis legalization in California which menas that this is an initiative which is not doomed. Its time has finally arrived; we are at the tipping point right now. Now is the time to do this and to do it right. We may only get one chance. If a law which is not exactly what we want is implemented then we may lose our critical mass and our ability to set it right.

I believe that less adults will smoke cannabis after it is legal. This is the case in the Netherlands where it has been

available over-the-counter for 30 years yet only half as many citizens (percentage-wise) smoke as do citizens here. My economics professor has taught for years that prohibition has not succeeded in decreasing usage by increasing penalties. Instead it has destroyed lives and families without substantial benefit to society. After legalization hard-drug usage will decrease due to a "separation of the markets," a decline in the price of Cannabis relative to hard-drugs, and the restoration of honesty and common sense in drug education. Violence, thievery, and the incarceration of honest people will decrease as well. I also believe that a well regulated market will decrease the availability and appeal of cannabis to children. In fact teenage Cannabis use in California has fallen steadily since the passage of Proposition 215. Furthermore the adults who smoke Cannabis after legalization will be better able appreciate the majesty of nature in peace and unity without learning to fear and disrespect authority figures. This will be better for their spirits and better for society. Finally the human rights of legitimate medical Cannabis patients will be better protected than they are today. Legalizing Cannabis will create a safer, healthier, and more humane California for us all to live in.

Hey there...thought I'd tap the McKenna-sphere for information...

Does anybody know of any early references made directly by McKenna (not hearsay or word-of-mouth) to 2012 that are tangibly available (lecture recordings, writings, transcripts, etc.). Particularly, anything before 1985 would be ideal. Of course, there is the first edition of "The Invisible Landscape" (1975). Other than that, off the top of my head, I know of an interview with Ralph Abraham from (1983) called "Dynamics of Hyperspace" ( http://www.scribd.com/doc/13362891/Terence-McKenna-and-Ralph-Abraham-Dynamics-of-Hyperspace ) and a recording of a presentation of his at Ojai in (1985) labeled as "The Invisible Landscape" ( http://www.futurehi.net/media.html ). Anybody know of anything else?

I am looking for as many transcripts of McKenna talks as can be found. I am doing research and realized how easy it would be to search through Terence's mind via his output if it was available in text format. As audio his words have to be endlessly searched through for the right bit. With text, you can actually search for the right word, phrase, term, etc. and can do so very quickly. I will post a response below of the transcripts I have so far. If anyone can point me to or send me any others that are available I would be immensely appreciative. Hopefully this will make his mind more accessible in a very interesting and I think fruitful way. Thanks a lot for any bodhisattvic assistance!

On the way he encounters a motley crew of characters from rogue scientists that conduct DMT-brain scans on jungle psychonauts; brujo-black magicians wielding their psychic darts; and dozens of indigenous and Western shamans that slowly unravel his cultured mind and reveal the magical landscape of the spirit world.

The evening will cover the booming international business of Amazonian Shamanism and the culture shock between the old world and the new. The difficulties presented given the mix of Amazonian shamanism and Western capitalism. And the ineffable mystery and magic of the ayahuasca experience itself, which cannot be commodified, although the West is certainly trying its best!

Skeptical Atheists are welcome, and we ask that all people be considerate and polite when posting. Labels matter little, it's what's going on between the ears that counts.

True skeptics are skeptical of skeptics, skepticism, and him/herself.

Admitting that you may be wrong shows strength of character. We're only human. The only people who don't make mistakes aren't doing anything at all.

Agnostics may have suspicions about social/scientific/spiritual concepts having more or less validity, but our trick is discussing such topics without an emotional investment in any particular outcome.

So, with an open mind, a warm heart, and a colorful sense of humor, we extend our invitation to anyone inclined towards the Agnostic point of view.

Breakthrough in novelty

According to my version (sheliak) of the DOS timewave zero program
this month on the 17th will be the breakthrough point for novelty and
for the rest of history be lower (more novelty) than ever before after this point
and never coming back. Actually the graph oscillates up and down for about
two weeks (until around the begining of next month) untill
it makes it's final departure into the depths and not to come back.

We have actually been in a massive habit cycle since about october 31 of 2006.
We have been decending off a mountian of habit that built up off that for about a year.
But have yet to surpass that level of novelty two years ago (which is the lowest in the cycle)
until we hit it this Tuesday the 17th of February 2009.

New things have been happening but we have yet to see a truly new day for quite some time.
Wondering if anyone else has noticed this from the graph.

I first found out about The Alchemical Dream here, so I thought I would post my review of it here as well. For those who don't know, see the post down below titled "Terence's New Film Finally Released"

Here's a review I wrote for Amazon.com. I highly recommend this film to all McKenna fans.

Alchemy. What is it? Terence McKenna, known mostly as a shaman and psychonaut, reveals to the world his knowledge of alchemy, its history, and why it is so important today. McKenna studied occultism in his teens; he was influenced by such great thinkers and Frances Yates and H.P. Blavatsky. Although he spoke rarely on the subject, we now have a beautifully produced film that reveals the depth of his knowledge. Those who want to read more of Terence's ideas on alchemy should be able to find a transcript of his "Lectures on Alchemy" by doing a Google search.

Filmed in Prague in the mid 1990's, Terence not only narrates both on and off screen, showing his bardic storyteller genius, but also portrays the leading figure in the story, that of Dr. John Dee. The film is as fresh as it could be however, because all of the ideas presented are found virtually nowhere else (other than the one mentioned above) in the vast library of McKenna lectures, while his books give but scant attention to the subject.

With the explosive resurgence of esoteric and occult ideas in the past few years, the film speaks to our time. Had it been released when it was made, it probably would have fallen into the void. It is as if the spirit of alchemy is alive in the film, waiting for the moment when the world is ready.

The story is based on Frances Yates' scholarship, most notably the Rosicrucian Enlightenment and the story of the Winter King and Queen. We learn of John Dee and Edward Kelly's journeys into the Enochian angelic realms, and how this inspired them to create an alchemical revolution with the aim of the transmutation of society. This is the alchemical dream referred to in the title. Dee and Kelly could not make this happen, however the dream was taken up later in Bohemia by Fredrick the Elector Palatine.

Highly recommended to all fans of McKenna, this will introduce them to a whole new world of Renaissance, Hermetic, Rosicrucian and Alchemical thinking. Likewise, anyone with an interest in these subjects will be fascinated by McKenna's interpretation of what this means for our time. Truly a remarkable film, it is a living eulogy to his genius. One can hardly wonder whether McKenna was actually the ghost of John Dee, and that the ideas in this film are his most recent push toward the alchemical transmutation of society.

Great to see Terence's ideas on alchemy coming to life again. This time he is featured in a new DVD documentary film "Alchemy- Sacred Secrets Revealed". It explains how the secret of alchemy was not simply the transmutation of base metals into gold, but instead the transmutation of consciousness. It includes the first 10 minutes of Terence's lecture "Unfolding the Stone".

Looking back, Americans were undergoing a crash course on the corporate state. One can only hope that there’s a learning process going on somewhere in the machine but for now there seems to be no backup to the shattered delusions illuminated by the Wall Street meltdown on the 30th September. American stocks had already haemorrhaged a trillion dollar loss but I didn’t feel sorry for those Wall Street lads who’ve had it so easy for so long. Even Obama, supposedly more ‘in tune’ than Mcain, successfully appealed to voters to support $700 Billion to bail out of Wall Street. It was either that, or no more easy credit and loans, he said. Loans? Easy credit? Elsewhere in the world, ‘loans’ and ‘credit facilities’ are not the inalienable right of every citizen. We all know that some haven’t even got basic access to pharmaceuticals, running water, regular food, clothing or shelter. A private toilet? Man, that’s luxury!

So why is this consensual hallucination of credit card spending, loans for cars and luxury goods being sold to us? Why shouldn’t there be hell to pay, and why doesn’t anyone ever talk about something simple, like saving? Face it, America is bankrupting its citizens by promising them another spending frenzy, if they just keep sending their unemployed sons and daughters to the Federal war machine. Meantime, it’s getting more difficult to survive financially for Johnny Sixpack’s America, and this is really ground zero, where increasingly desperate citizens turn to crime and the underworld, or just feed off each other, like in the so-called ‘Third World Countries’.

Somalia. Pretend, if you can, that you live in the town of Eyl, or maybe further South at Hobyo. If you live in this kind of neighbourhood you don’t give a toss about the stock market because your income depends on Somali pirates who provide income for this region as self appointed ‘warlords’. They commit violent acts of piracy against passing ships for the ‘people’.

One of the pirates, a dodger by the name of ‘Ali’, told some newspaper on his satellite phone; "We are sticking to the demand for 20 million dollars. This is not ransom, but a fine for unlawfully transporting weapons on Somali waters,".

I don’t think they care about Lehman Brothers or Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc, and maybe the pirates are right, at least about that, because there are no brothers on Wall Street, just legalised egos using people as shop fronts. Meantime, the pirates say that there have been acts of international eco-terrorism in Somali waters. According to ‘their’ propaganda, ships have been found dumping cargoes of radioactive waste in the area. Of course this is only a nasty rumour spread by terrorists so let’s cut back to Wall Street, where the annual bonus of any CEO would go a long way in defeating poverty in this part of the world.

Aside; I watched the History channel with distaste as they glorified the new American Super Aircraft carrier, the ‘George W. Bush’. A huge chunk of labour and natural resources dedicated to ensure our ‘security’ from radical fundamentalist terrorism, and so forth. But then why is everything getting worse?

Obviously, piracy is more prevalent than we’d thought. It’s as if some people have pre-agreed to an idiotic consensual delusion which spreads like a virus, a thought pattern, a meme, replicating itself so fast that before you can speak someone confirms the thought to you. And that’s what it is, a positive attitude versus a negative one.

And you, dear reader, are you an optimist or a pessimist? In the containment area, aka your mind, adaptationist processes, or reactions to stimuli, can be broken and a new branch somehow inserted that’ll open another level. If we can take this first step in our collective imaginations, an evolutionary step to reach past the boundaries of our pre-programmed, knee-jerk reactions, if we can call a stop to starvation and over-population, maybe the fundamentalists would have a smaller audience and rampant militarism would not be necessary. But let’s get it right in our imaginations first, and then maybe, just maybe, there’s a chance.

Preparing for 2012:
Dealing with and Defeating Negativity by Roy Francis Stewart

In order to deal with Negativity, you need to understand how the universe works and how you work within this Universe. Negativity is the polarity of the Positive, in balance and what makes up this 3rd dimension. Without Negativity, you would have NO 3rd Dimension. It wouldn't exist and thus, you wouldn't exist in it.

The confusion is what and who we are really AND the fact that most of us don't know who and what we are and are thrust into this world and have no memory of any other experience, are ill equipped and are exposed only to the negativity we see. We think that this is all there is. Then we get all depressed, thinking that I have to escape or I spiral down and turn to over indulgence in drinking, drugs, whatever which of course, draws us down deeper into the negativity and thus some experience only these hell type worlds, then get comfortable with them, adjust to them and are perhaps live in them not unlike the living dead. Obviously anyone around you whether it be an individual or the news, or a war or countless other negative things drags you down to this side of the polarity.

BUT, the question is, what is the root of all this? And the answer is simply IGNORANCE. Ignorance of who we really are, what this universe is and how it operates.

So, the religions help point the way (but even they do not have all the answers). Mythologists pave the way, and filmmakers paint the way (But I’ll be the first to tell you, I don’t have all the answers either).

Now, I'm not a Buddhist per se, but they get pretty close to an understanding. However, the problem is, the individual still lives in this world and still may not know the ultimate truth. They may label the world as samsara, an illusion and seek refuge from it in meditation. Meditation is great, a great tool, but in order to escape the illusion world which is the 3rd dimension, one would have to spend the majority of their time in meditation. The next question is...is this really living?

So lets cut to the chase (mythologists and prophecies claim we may be headed into a higher dimension – the 5th dimension):

This is the 3rd dimension. It's real, it's not an illusion. If you're here, there is NO escaping it. You can spend 6 days and 23 hours in meditation if you want to, but when you come out of it, you step into the 3rd Dimension world for One hour and then you immediately realize that wow, this world is very negative and the Tibetans are still getting beaten up over there and the war is still going on over there and some soldiers just got blown up and on and on and on, so, man I want to escape, so I better go back into my meditation to seek refuge from the illusory world. Again, is this living?

I say NO. So we need simply to shift to a new understanding. Ready?

1) This world is the world of duality, the world of polarity, of positive and negative. This is the world of the 3rd dimension.

2) There are countless dimensions above this 3rd dimension.

3) The world of God or Source or Pure Mind or Oneness, is NOT in the 3rd dimension. It isn't BUT we are. This world of God or Source is singularity not duality. it is a singular all positive dimension that gives birth to all lesser dimensions.

4) However, inside of us, is the DIVINE SPIRIT, that is the real us. The Divine Mind encased in a flesh body here to function in this material world - this 3rd dimension - with a purpose.

5) We recognize, realize or understand that our true nature is SINGULARITY, or Oneness. But we live in a world of Duality.

6) If we attach ourselves only to the material, and to the degree that we do so, we also separate ourselves further from the truth (see 5 above). We only perceive the negative and can get caught up in it.

7) Society is set up to lock us into the material 3rd dimension world and Controllers profit from keeping us in this sleep state. (In example, when you're in Kindergarten, do they tell you that you are an infinite being capable of being a co-creator in this dimension because the real you is the Divine encased in a material body and as such this reality is molded by your every thought? NO. They teach you the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic and you are indoctrinated into eventually serving this system.) (This whole system is against the divine plan, thus may fall, as we are starting to see)

8) With this new understanding, you know who you are, where you are from and where you will eventually go to. Right now, you are a walking, talking, living Sage - a physical manifestation or expression of the non-physical Divine Mind. Sure there is alot of Negativity. And out of compassion, you can and do help others. But you also enjoy life. You take a walk by the beach and enjoy the surf pounding. You smell the flowers, you listen to music, you laugh, you cry, you create, you sleep, you eat, make love, communicate, whatever. You simply enjoy life.

9) By your example, you are released from the world of illusion as you know the Truth. You are no longer ignorant and a prisoner of the 3rd dimensional world. You are also no longer a prisoner of Dogma - something man made. Also by your example, you are living in balance with the Divine Universe and as such you are in flow. Good things happen to you. The landscape changes simply because you walked past it. The kid you said hello to is transformed. The cat you gave some milk to learns to trust humans. You are walking your talk and you are aiding in the raising the consciousness of the entire planet and everything in it. Even the pebble evolves because you held it in your hand.

10) This is the best part. This understanding can come in an instant or it could take years. It is under the direction of a higher intelligence beyond your comprehension, it is coming from an infinite place. And the exciting NEWS is that it is now directly coming in through energy, through light, through people, through star emanations, its moving as part of a quickening and now is the time to jump on and ride the wave to immortality and enjoyment. This is the realm of SPIRIT. Spirit, the above overcomes the material, the below. It’s building up but it seems to point to the fast approaching December 21, 2012 date. Let the shift begin!

Flying back from the Amazon across the deep blue pacific ocean for the 6th time I'm wondering if the rising fuel prices and the difficulty to justify this carbon footprint, means this may be my last trip to visit the shamans of the Amazon.

I've just spent an amazing 6 weeks in Chile and Peru. First I travelled to the International Whaling Commission, I.W.C. in Santiago, Chile, with 6 other people from the Byron region. The aim was to try to stop the whaling nations from the insane activity of killing whales. We definitely rocked their boat, but that's another story. What I want to talk about here is the crazy shamanic adventure that followed in Peru.

To cover my costs to attend the IWC I organized a shamanic tour with 8 people from around the world to visit sacred sites around the Machu Picchu region and into the Amazon jungle and experience some power plants. The power plants of Peru, the San Pedro cactus and the Ayahuasca vine have been used along the Andes Mountains and in the jungle by shamans and people in ceremony for thousands of years. Ayahuasca is not only legal in Peru it was just declared part of Peru's cultural heritage therefore keeping it out of the cluches of the UN and Americas war on drugs.

Climbing to the top of Machu Picchu mountain to avoid the crowds I knew the transmission from condor rock and the mountain with San Pedro would be worth the steep 2 hour climb. The shaman I was walking with suggested we chanted as we climbed and every 30 steps we prostrate to show our respects and develop a relationship with Apu (mountain) Machu Picchu. I don't know if it was the ozzy rebellious nature but us 3 ozzys didn't want to leave when they where rounding everyone up at closing time so we hid, then spent the night exploring these ancient ruins under the full moon. I felt shamans throughout the ages have use these power plants here in ceremonies, connecting them with the forces of nature and the spirit world.

This shamanic tour ended the day before the start of 4th shamanic conference in Iquitos, situated deep in the Amazon jungle in Peru. Around 200 people from countries around the world attended the gathering with an aim to acquire a deeper understanding of this ancient shamanic healing art and the Ayahuasca experience itself. It was an excellent opportunity for people to drink Ayahuasca with a trusted and experienced shaman. I liked shaman Percy Garcias energy and decided to drinks with him. 48 km from Iquitos and a half hour walk and we were at his Ayahuasca centre in the jungle.

We started the ceremony off with a flower bath and tobacco smudge to help cleanse the body and spirit. The Ayahuasca was prepared with 7 other plants the names of which remained a shamanic secret. Videoing at night with infra-red help me capture some of the magic without interrupting the energy, yet at some point in the ceremony the camera became an inoperable object. Purging the contents of your body is part of the cleansing process that I think most participated. The next day, two people reported seeing the same small forest beings and delighted each other with sharing the same descriptions of the beings. Another was show by the plants aspects of herself that she wasn't even aware of. For me, drinking Ayahuasca was like visiting and old friend. She reminds me of a world that exists parallel to our own that we forget, or just don't realise is there. She also can show when we have stepped of the path of being the best person we can be and through visions and insights guides us back on our path. Many westerners are now using Ayahuasca as a tool for their own personal development yet paranoid unfounded laws try to prevent people using these power plant. As Terence Mc Kenna once said "We are told to live between a narrow canyon of conciousness walled in between awake and asleep." Countries like lemmings signed up to the UN convention on Narcotics that put these power plants in the Schedule One category along with heroin and cocaine. So paranoid were the powers that be that these plants may challenge the status quo, that even research into these plants and their possible clinical applications were banned. Now many Doctors, Philosophers, rights campaigners, Ethnobotinists and more are lobbying to remove these plants from a scheduled list and allow their use in respectful ceremonies.

Another well respected local Ayahuascaro healer told me how he works with spirits of dead doctors from around the world to help heal people. These spirits also protect him from bad spirits that sometimes try to psychically attack him. Around 60 local Peruvian people come to his house every Friday night to be healed by him. He doesn't charge any money. After an Ayahuasca session with him, Celo from Mullumbimby now living in the Amazon said see could see as clear as day, all the spirits in the room that he was working with.

I lost 10 kilos on this 6 weeks trip and I figured I should be able to interest some of Jenny Craig's clients to come to the Amazon on a shamanic weight loss program.

Talks and interviews were intermingled with direct shamanic experiences in this 8 day conference that I'm sure has transformed many lives. Yet I'm also sure some may have been disappointed that they didn't get the visuals or visions that where depicted so well in the Ayahuasca western called Renegade, or my film "Shamans of the Amazon" or that the little machine elves that Terrence Mc Kenna explained so eloquently didn't dance for them. Yet next year many of the same faces will appear in the large Amazon jungle town of Iquitos at the 5th Shamanic conference, again looking to deepen their understanding of shamanism and the Ayahuasca experience. Maybe Ill get one more year in.

July 23, 2008 was an historic day! I awoke to hear on the Internet an astounding interview on Kerrang Radio (UK) with Astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who announced matter of factly, "yes, we have been visited." Did this sudden announcement signal the beginning of Official UFO Disclosure? I transcribed much of the conversation wherein Edgar Mitchell finally briefed us all. www.disclose.tv/action/viewvideo/6168/

The radio announcer asked Dr. Mitchell, "Are we alone in the Universe?" to which he responded, "Oh, I know for sure we're not alone in the Universe." The radio announcer expressed his shock at this disclosure and wondered if Mitchell was "pulling his leg" with "astronaut humor." Mitchell assured him the Roswell crash was real, and a number of contacts are real and ongoing. "Why is it being covered up?" he asked. The U.S. chose to do this after World War II, explained Mitchell, but it's starting to open up now in the international press. Mitchell also discussed the Catholic Church's recent press releases that we are not alone in the Universe. He explained that the amount of covert attempts to cover-up and the amount of disinformation is decreasing. Mitchell stated, "there's more nonsense out there about this than is real, but it IS a real phenomenon. … Some of us are privileged enough to have been briefed on some of it." He stated, "We're not alone in the Universe. We have been visited."

Dr. Mitchell went on to briefly discuss Roswell in 1947, saying he grew up in Roswell and it was a real extraterrestrial crash there. He admitted involvement in intelligence and military circles, and UFO committees and groups, and admitted it has been "well covered up in the past sixty years." He claimed there has been "quite a bit of contact" and that "contact is real and ongoing," but that he does not know where the visitors are from. He admitted to "back-engineering" of spacecraft, but claimed the "homegrown" vehicles "are not as sophisticated as what the visitors have." When asked if there will be an actual disclosure this year, Mitchell said there are serious organizations moving toward disclosure, and that it has already begun, since the Belgian, French, Brazilian and Mexican governments have opened their files and some British files were recently released. He indicated, "I think we're heading toward serious disclosure, but I can't say how fast." He said "public acceptance is increasing and disinformation seems to be decreasing." When asked "what will the reaction be?" he said it's "ho-hum so what's new?" and that "well over 70% of people accept it as fact."

"Do others involved in the moon landings know about this?" Mitchell responded, "Some of them do." When asked if the visitor's intent is hostile or peaceful, Mitchell stated, "It's pretty obvious that if it were hostile we'd have been gone by now. Or could have been. We had no defense if that's what their real intent was." When asked what they look like, he claimed there to be many groups, but described only one of them, "You've seen some of the pictures … little people that look strange to us. … pretty accurate." Finally, when asked if he was worried for his own safety, Mitchell replied, "Oh no. They're not knocking anybody off for that anymore."

Good News For Modern Man?

Mitchell indicated that over 70 percent of people accept extraterrestrial visitation as fact. I find that number to be unbelievably large. He perhaps is referring to globally, not in the U.S. If true, I believe Mitchell underplays the reaction of the remaining 30 percent, who are in profound denial in an isolated, outback cosmos—namely the scientific "Darwinists." He underplays the effect on science—a "naturalist" paradigm unbelievably rigid in its fundamentalist and insular premise that "intelligent" life is Earth-based only.

Is Official UFO Disclosure good news for modern man? Well, it is and, then again, it isn't. The effect on Darwinian evolution will be profound. This is what the cover-up is and has been all about. After all science is not about flexibility but is about security; and the alarm for this potential breach in security was pushed by NASA in 1960, when it tasked the Brookings Institute to think through the implications of the possible discovery of artifacts on the moon or other planets on which we may land or send probes.

The Brookings Study was concerned about the impact of extraterrestrial intelligence (ETI) on religion, but it also feared the impact on science. In part, the Brookings Study noted that "scientists and engineers might be the most devastated by the discovery of relatively superior creatures, since these professions are most clearly associated with mastery of nature." The study also noted, "Advanced understanding of nature might vitiate all our theories."

Darwinian evolution epitomizes mankind's mastery over nature. Indeed, as I have noted in my book, Space Travelers and the Genesis of the Human Form, the evolution story dramatizes the "natural" transfiguration of mankind through a linear procession of metamorphoses that eventually separate him from the animals of his ancestry. Evolution is Western man's totem; essentially, it represents mastery over our own nature. Since the entire realm of modern biology and chemistry is based on the Darwinian paradigm, the discovery, or should I say, the official disclosure, of extraterrestrial intelligence would completely shatter the Darwinian mythology of humanity's accidental climb out of the muck of our local habitat Earth.

From the perspective of Darwinian theory, mankind may be seen as the winner of a preposterous survival lottery which, we are told, given the incredible odds should not have occurred even once. Thus, if the humanoid form evolved from the great ape lineage on planet Earth, the mathematical odds are incredibly against the possibility of that same chain of random and incremental steps, contingent upon an interplay with a similar biological environment, occurring elsewhere in the Universe. Therefore, the assumptions of Darwinian evolution presuppose the humanoid form to be an entirely Earth-based phenomenon.

Darwinian evolution is a metaphysical genesis tale of life on Earth. In her book Evolution as a Religion, philosopher Mary Midgley argued that "evolution is not just an inert piece of theoretical science," but is also "a powerful folk tale about human origins." It must be pointed out that creationism and evolutionism have one main factor in agreement: they are both Earth-centric genesis tales. Both oppose the idea of intelligence at large in the Universe, including the idea of space travelers. In both theories, the Earth is the center of the Universe and WE are IT!

It must also be understood that the theory of evolution essentially views the human or humanoid form as merely an accident in a chain of accidents. For instance, Stephen Jay Gould argued that the evolution of the human form is not a "repeatable occurrence." In the Journal of British Interplanetary Society (1992), E.J. Coffey also argued that "the survivors resemble the winners of a lottery rather than creatures better designed than the unlucky majority who do not survive."

For quite the same reasons as above, British astronomer, Sir Fred Hoyle, proponent of the Modern Theory of Panspermia, mathematically dismissed the chance of Darwinian evolution being an actual occurrence, arguing that "even if the whole Universe consisted of organic soup ... the chance of producing merely the basic enzymes of life by random processes without intelligent direction would be about 1 over a 1 with 40,000 zeros after it; a probability too small to imagine." Hoyle concluded that "Darwinian evolution is most unlikely to get even one polypeptide sequence right, let alone the thousands on which living cells depend for survival."

Given that there are trillions of different kinds of cells in the body, all in delicate balance with each other, each of these varied cellular structures would also have to develop by chance. In a Times-Advocate interview in December 1982, Hoyle declared that this mathematical impossibility is well known to scientists, yet nobody seems willing to "blow the whistle" on the absurdity of Darwinian theory. Hoyle claims "most scientists still cling to Darwinism because of its grip on the educational system," and because they don't want to be branded as "heretics." Let's hope this allegation is at least partially true.

Others have "done the math" as well. British molecular biologist Francis Crick, who received the 1962 Nobel Prize for the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA, wondered if we weren't from around here. After discovering the astonishingly huge and complex information storage capacity of the DNA molecule (humans have three billion coding letters in each nucleus), Crick could not imagine any conditions under which this information vehicle could have evolved from non-living chemicals. He argued that since the earth has too short a history for life to have developed here, it must have developed on another planet in a solar system several billion years older than ours.

Crick's aversion to religion led him and Leslie Orgel, in 1973, to put forth the theory of Directed Panspermia. To get around the idea of God, Crick proposed that the primordial seeds of life were shipped to earth in spaceships billions of years ago by intelligent beings. After proposing this idea, Crick was left in the predicament of explaining the origin of the ET beings, and finally had to acknowledge the paucity of the idea, saying, "Every time I write a paper on the origin of life, I swear I will never write another one, because there is too much speculation running after too few facts." (Life Itself, 1981)

Although an atheist, Crick was quoted as saying, "An honest man, armed with the knowledge available to us now, could only state that in some sense the origin of life appears to be almost a miracle." William Hamilton in his essay "Astrogenesis" suggests, "The real paradigm shift is to consider that the Universe is a life-producing nursery and that the genesis and evolution of life is not earth-centered but rather is distributed among the stars of the galaxies."

In his book The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, Thomas Kuhn defines a scientific revolution as a "non-cumulative developmental episode" whereby an older paradigm is replaced in whole or in part by an "incompatible new one." Such scientific revolutions begin with a growing sense that "an existing paradigm has ceased to function adequately in the exploration of an aspect of nature." The emergence of new theories is usually preceded by a period of "pronounced professional insecurity," since it involves large-scale paradigm destruction. Kuhn explains, under normal rules a scientific theory "is declared invalid only if an alternative candidate is available to take its place."

Unfortunately for them, academia and its inflexible materialist skeptics have persistently disallowed any alternative candidates from the Vitalist arena to impose on their Nature party: such as Lovelock and Margulis's Gaia Theory (in this case they made it conform to Naturalism before allowing a baby toe in); Rupert Sheldrake's Theory of Formative Causation (they absolutely spit on the idea of morphogenetic fields); Extraterrestrial theories such as Panspermia, Visitor Genetic Breeding or Planetary Seeding experiments ("little green men" anybody?); the mathematical theories of Intelligent Design ("Creationism in a cheap tuxedo"); and we all know where they stand on the "Super-natural" theory of Creationism (oh well, I say, if it walks like a duck).

Many people I talk to are under the assumption that Darwinism is playfully malleable and open to their mishmash of supernatural ideas. I try to inform them that Darwinian evolution is an all-or-nothing theory; it will not allow inclusion of any Vitalist or Supra-natural process—or, goddess forbid, any anthropomorphism. It is very exacting on that rule. If you are espousing any form of Supernaturalism, you are clearly not a Darwinian. Perhaps you are a Vitalist.

The essential problem is, according to Kuhn, scientists cannot do research in the absence of a controlling and overarching (i.e., tightly closed and uncompromising) paradigm: in this case Naturalism (Materialism) as opposed to Supernaturalism (Vitalism). Under normal circumstances they do not and can not pull the floor out from under themselves by either switching paradigms or allowing an alternative toe in the door. But in the face of Official UFO Disclosure, the door will be blown out for them.

Extraterrestrial space travelers and Darwinian evolution are incompatible! Do not underestimate the reaction from the fundamentalist Scientism camp: the discovery of Extraterrestrial Intelligence, and specifically of the extraterrestrial humanoid form, blows Earth-centric evolutionary biology straight out of the water!

BAM! SPLASH! HIGH AND DRY!

"Pronounced professional insecurity" does not even begin to describe what unbending Darwinists will go through under Official UFO Disclosure, should it actually occur. The Catholic Church has already announced its acceptance of extraterrestrial beinghood. Science has not. It will not be the followers of fundamentalist religions but the followers of rigid, unyielding Scientism who will be in the herd of lemmings headed straight for the edge of the cliff.

4th Shamanic conference kicks of in Iquitos, Amazon.

Hi ,
Well what an adventure so far. Im now in Iquitos and its day 4 of the 4th Shamanic conference
After completing an amazing 16 day shamanic tour in Peru it was time to fly to Iquitos one hour flight from the nearest road. Its hard to imagine this thriving frontier town in the middle of the amazon jungle was build and exists quite well without any roads connecting it to the outside world. Iquitos is the host to the 4th Shamanic conference and presents around 20 shamans and a few western philosophers. About 300 people have flown to this remote town to listen and get a direct experience from the shamans of the amazon and the power plants themselves, mainly ayahuasca. Last week Peru proclaimed ayahuasca a national treasure therefore keeping it out of the clutches of Americas desire to outlaw all power plants. On the first day 12 shamans introduced themselves and people could choose who they were going to drink the sacred brew with. It was a smorgasbord of shamans. I picked one to be my guide for my ayahuasca journey tonight in a thatched hut on the other side of the amazon river. There are 3 sessions planned over this 8 day conference so it not all talk.

I just returned from a 3 day trip to visit the Shipebo people and had an amazing night experiencing the ayauasca brew and 5 Shipebos chanting the mystical icaros.

Dennis Mc Kenna speech declared that ayahuasca was now going global in an attempt to get humanity to reconnect with nature and regain harmony with the natural kingdom.

My ancestors are not risen from their deaths and guiding me from Heaven,
so with one life I am searching and I have found evidence of God.
The key to my divine discovery is synchronicity -
the knowledge of our Universe in humanity.

Synchronicity is visible in everything which relates to humankind, from the near approach of Earth and Mars on an American president's birthday to the cataclysmic Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami which coincided with the birth of a beloved and famous television personality. Synchronicity is scientifically proven but it's generally unsought and it's value unnoticed. Carl Jung, the Swiss scientist who coined synchronicity, studied the subject but his work died soon after he died. The motion of Earth around our Sun, that's synchronicity. It's recognized but unkept. The majority of us, when we look at our Sun and other stars, don't give it another thought; our Sun is too bright and we're too dim to contemplate it, we might believe. Meaningful coincidence, kismet, grace, synchronicity, it's a mystery we've all experienced and I've taken it a few steps further to show how events of all levels of importance are connected. I'm not building a better computer or engineering a better cow, I'm saying there's no separation between us and God. Language is human-created and generated, all from the same singular source and one of the tricks to understanding the miracle of synchronicity is the discovery of the intimate and luminous link between humankind and the system of Earth and sky, our system of great industrial and individual innovations and ideas, of family and personal evolution.

2003 - The close encounter of Earth and Mars. The last time Mars was as close had been 60,000 years prior.
1962 - America's NASA Mariner 2 spacecraft departed Earth for Venus.
1908 - U.S. President Lyndon Johnson was born.
1906 - Inventor Lee DeForest filed his patent application at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the Audion, an electronic amplifier device. It was a major invention at the start of the electronics era.
1883 - One of Earth's most violent volcanic eruptions occurred, at Krakatoa, Indonesia.
1859 - The first oil well in the Americas was drilled, in Titusville, Pennsylvania, United States.

On August 27, 1859, Edwin Drake drilled the first successful oil well of the Americas in Titusville, Pennsylvania. Near another Titusville - Titusville, Florida - also an August 27th, America's Mariner 2 spacecraft was launched. Volcanoes can create land, oil can produce light and give life to machines, and sperm, alive inside all men, made every mammal on the planet and are swimming their way towards eggs now. And rockets, rockets can inspire imaginations.

Since I organised the last Shamanic Adventure into Peru and Machu Picchu in 2004 amongst other things, I have been working solidly to help the whales and dolphins swim free. I will be crossing the pacific to go to the International Whaling commission meeting in Chile in June to try to help the whales and dolphins and thought this was a good opportunity to organise another Shamanic Adventure into Peru. So I am organising some shamanic trip options for those who may want to join me and have a direct experience with Ayahuasca, San pedro, the mountains, the jungle the shamans and everything else. You can't go to Peru without visiting the Sacred valley and Machu Picchu region. I have meet a strong shaman named Sayre who lives in the Sacred valley to facilitate the journey. Sayre is a descendant from the Incas. We have put together a great journey visiting many of the sacred sites in the Sacred valley and Sayre will run many San Pedro and Ayahuasca ceremonies throughout the 16 day trip around the Sacred valley and Pulcalpa in the Amazon jungle, from the 3rd of July to the 18th of July. In Pulcalpa we live and drink with the Shipibo people and shaman until the start of the conference on the 19th of July. I will also be staying on in the Iquitos region after the Shamanic conference for a week and visiting an Ayahuascaro shaman to do more ceremony. The Sacred valley, Machu Picchu, Pulcalpa trip is $2400 USD for the 16 days and 15 nights. Which works out at $160 pr night. It will be a jammed pact shamanic adventure, not for the light hearted.

Once you arrive in Cusco everything including sessions will be paid and catered for. Internal flights though will need to be paid by you. If you want to join me just for the amazon leg after the conference I have organised a 7 day 6 night amazon shamanic adventure it will be $780 = $130 pr day. Again everything will be catered for including aya sessions. We will be going to see Percy Garcia. He has been working with medicinal plants for over 25 years since he was 12 years old. Percy has excellent ayahuasca and he is a very very humble man. He has private cabins as well as his maloca, everything is screened in. The maloca was built over a small river, really nice. He is about 48 kilometers outside of Iquitos. We should get 2 or 3 ayahuasca sessions in, in that time. He has lots of information about medicinal plant of the jungle he will share with us and take us to some special places in the amazon Jungle. We will also learn how to prepare the sacred brew. As this journey starts in only 6 weeks I need to get numbers sorted out and confirmed asap

Novelty Theory Calculations

Although I have not personally worked out most of the math behind the theory, I have read several articles and synopses of the theory. One thing that stands out to me is that the TimeWave records Novelties, or events that have not occured previously. These are usually species-changing, or some may say, consciousness changing events. Population, technology, food and materials production, communications capabilities, miniaturization, speed of travel, and many other things, are all increasing at what is known as an accelerating rate; that is, they are increasing and the rate at which they are increasing is also increasing. A group of mathematicians has plotted graphs of all of humanity's major developments and projected them out to where they all, more or less simultaneously hit infinity. Guess what that date is---12/21/2012!

According to the mathematical model, we should see approximately 61 more of these species-changing developments before 12/21/2012! All of the same magnitude as the three noted above! Again, it's only a model, but it is predicted that 18 of those changes will occur on the last day, and 13 of those will happen in the last FRACTION OF A SECOND, as things accelerate towards that infinity point.

According to a spreadsheet I've worked out, there should have been one of these events on May 30, 2007. Where it occurred, or how we feel the effect, I do not know. The next, according to my calculations, is due on May 19 2010.

Anyone interested in converting Terence McKenna speeches to text?

As the subject indicates... is anyone interested in converting Terence McKenna speeches to text?
So far I've done Eros and Eschaton and The World and Its Double.

It is relatively easy but only if you are a fast typer. You just listen along and type what you hear. I recommend using WinAmp to view because you can press alt+tab to shift between windows (to and from winamp and your word document), and then press the left arrow button and it will rewind approximately 4 seconds if you get behind... really easy way to do that. And not to mention you understand the concepts a lot better since you are writing them down.

I hope to get a website started with these types of speeches and transcriptions among other things.

If anyone is interested let me know... like I said it really helps if you're a fast typer when doing this, so keep that in mind.

This offers an interesting, albeit introductory, treatment on origins and continuation of the contemporary psychedelic movement in an examination of its two most well known, and controversial, proponents.

I listened to this last night and while one of the two hosts has some intelligent things to say about the contributions of both Leary and McKenna, the other host is a bit dense and, without being disparaging, may serve as a "straight man" off of whom to find your own opinion.
